An extremely rare gold-wired sword imported from Italy over 3,000 years ago has been discovered in western Greece. It was recovered from the grave of a Mycenaean warrior, who had also been buried with a second bronze sword, a dagger, a golden wine cup and other fine objects.

One of the most sacred sites in the Christian world is in imminent danger of structural damage. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem is at risk due to the precarious condition of the Deir al-Sultan monastery that sits on top of it. An engineering report has concluded that the site is in an emergency state and in need of immediate intervention.
